ECC realizes that relocating can be expensive. You will need to have at least 250,000 yen of your own funds available. Click here for currency conversion/calculator. If necessary ECC will be able to provide additional financial support through interest - free 'living expense' loans shortly after your arrival in Japan. This will help to facilitate a smooth start for you in Japan without cash-flow pressures. Your initial outlay will be more than recouped when you start drawing the substantial salary ECC offers.
ECC will arrange suitable housing for you in order to assist with a smooth arrival in Japan. ECC does not own or make profit from the housing. Rather, we utilize specific housing agents in each area. We have asked the agencies to provide fully furnished, clean accommodations without key money and other expensive charges common among housing acquisition in Japan. General feedback on the apartments is reasonably good and there is an out-clause after 4 to 5 months for those who want to change the scene. There are many shared apartments (please note these may be mixed-gender), and some private apartments in some districts, although please note private apartments cannot be guaranteed. If all the agent apartments are full, ECC will of course still arrange accommodation for you if requested.
ECC has a proven system that will guide you through all required banking, taxation, etc. We will be sure you get a low tax rate, and provide useful information on various other points such as obtaining a telephone, English speaking medical contacts, resident registration etc. |

ECC prides itself on offering outstanding training for all new employees. Upon arriving in Japan, there will be a paid training period of approximately two weeks. All employees - even those with no previous teaching experience - will be able to bring, share and learn a variety of teaching techniques. The training session will span 50 to 70 hours and will cover teaching both children and adults. You will acquire all the tools you need to manage successful, fun classes.
Throughout your time at ECC, trainers will be available to support you, and there will be periodic workshops where you can trade ideas with other instructors. The quality of the training is high and many other institutes would charge you for a similar training or qualification.
Again, ECC will be here for you. We will supply not only an annual syllabus, but also the corresponding materials and manuals - many of which have been produced by our research and development team. You will have teacher/student friendly materials with a proven track record that will fully support the experienced or inexperienced teacher alike.
