Instructors have two set days off per week ( not likely to include Saturday ). Instructors are scheduled 29.5 hours over five days a week. The majority of the hours fall between 3 and 9 PM and generally include one split shift (i.e., a two or three hour morning or afternoon shift followed by a three to five hour shift in the evening). Additional hours/ overtime is often available for those teachers who are interested.
Note that teachers may be scheduled at up to five different schools in the course of a week. Once a shift has been set with classes in which the teacher meets the same students weekly, it remains unchanged until the end of the school year (March).
