Southern Japan

Tenjin School - Located in Fukuoka City, in Kyushu, the southern-most island of Japan. Fukuoka was voted number 14 in 2010's poll of the World's Most Livable Cities. Famous for hot weather, Yatai (street stalls), the Hakata Dontaku festival and the Mongol invasion.

Miyazaki School - Also located in Kyushu, on the Pacific coast. Famous for Miyazaki Jingu, a shrine, and Kizakihama beach, for those who surf.

Kokura School - Also located in Kyushu, facing the Sea of Japan and directly across the straits from Korea. From Kokura, Korea is an overnight ferry ride away. Kokura is a short journey from Fukuoka and Nagasaki.

Hiroshima School - Hiroshima, facing the Inland Sea, is one of the larger cities in Japan. The city and its surroundings contain many famous landmarks, most notably the Itsukushima Shrine, the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park and Hiroshima castle, and is also notable for having an extensive tram network.

Okayama School - Located in the Chugoku region, in Okayama Prefecture, a short journey from Kobe. Noted for the Koraku-en gardens, some of the most beautiful in Japan, its mild climate, and its proximity to Shikoku, with its castles, food and even white-water rafting.

Central Japan

Shizuoka School - Famous for its natural beauty, including wonderful views of Mt. Fuji. Between Nagoya and Tokyo, with some of the best wasabi, green tea and seafood in Japan.

Mie Schools - The Chubu district manages two schools in Mie Prefecture, in Tsu and Yokkaichi. Teachers assigned to these schools live in the area, a short journey to Nagoya, Nara and Osaka. Mie is famous for the town of Ise, with its "old town" and spectacular Ise Jingu shrine, the old Kumano Kodo road, a world heritage site, and great hiking trails, too.

Northern Kanto

Bell Mall Utsunomiya School - Located in Tochigi Prefecture. While an 'outlying' school, it's only an hour or so from central Tokyo. Noted for cool weather and very close to Nikko, one of the most popular sight-seeing locations in Japan. Instructors here usually teach at the Ishibashi school as well.

Yorktown Ishibashi School - Also located in Tochigi, near Utsunomiya and Nikko. While an 'outlying' school, it's only an hour or so from central Tokyo. Instructors here usually teach at the Utsunomiya school as well.

Yorktown Akatsuka School - Located in Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture, near the Pacific coast. Noted for the Kairaku-en, one of the most beautiful gardens in Japan. Mito is about 90 minutes by train from Tokyo.

Yorktown Noda School - Located in the Tohoku region, Fukushima Prefecture, known for the natural beauty of its nearby mountains and lakes, snowy winters and great seafood.
